Powerboat training for rescue teams
I'm an RYA Powerboat Level 2 (PB2) instructor. I help rescue teams and volunteer organisations keep their boat operators up to date and bring new volunteers up to standard.

Training new volunteers
Taking new volunteers from the basics of boat handling through to the skills they need before they crew or helm for your team.
Training is delivered in-house, shaped around your team's own procedures. If you need RYA certificates, I can arrange RYA courses through the Royal Torbay Yacht Club, where I'm a member, with certificates signed by the Principal.
I know how rescue teams train and work. I volunteered as a rescue boat operator with York Rescue Boat, providing a water rescue service on the River Ouse on Friday and Saturday nights. I'm an experienced Flood Rescue Technician, and was on the National Asset Register during my time there. Talk to me about your team's training.
Trained for the job
Water safety is about being prepared for the day something goes wrong. I'm an RYA Powerboat Level 2 instructor, and my qualifications cover safety boat handling, marine radio, first aid, survival at sea, firefighting and security awareness, including the full set of STCW basic safety training certificates.
This season I've worked as safety boat crew with Medical & Water Safety Ltd and Swim Safety Ltd, providing water safety cover at triathlon swims and rowing events. I've also completed the RYA Advanced Powerboat course.
I volunteered as a rescue boat operator with York Rescue Boat, covering the River Ouse on Friday and Saturday nights, and worked there as a Flood Rescue Technician on the National Asset Register, and I have experience as a swift water boat operator.
